A major part of the team is located in Potsdam, the other part in Walldorf and Palo Alto (USA), respectively. The OoT unit works on strategic initiatives across the portfolio from infrastructure components such as storage or operating systems to integration APIs to consumer-facing apps. EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- Liaise with key architects as well as executives, build relationships and collaborate
- Conduct and support various high profile projects at the SAP Headquarter in Walldorf, and collaborate with the Office of the CTO
- Being a strong member of a technology savvy team you will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing existing software components as well as creatively engineering new solutions
- Investigate and analyze technical issues and initiatives, reporting back perspective and information to the CTO and staff
- Make high-level contacts of a sensitive nature inside and outside the company
- Prepare presentation materials for Board meetings, customer calls, internal/external meetings and analyst's presentations as requested
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience within the software industry and 3+ years of experience within SAP
- Comprehensive technology expertise, outside-in perspective
- Experience defining and building products
- Deep experience in SAP solutions and a broad understanding of SAP's strategy and organizational structure
- Process design and implementation know how
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Required skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English and German
- Willingness to work in international teams
- Reporting and analytical capabilities, flexibility and focus on results
- Cultural understanding to manage communication between different locations and departments
- Sufficient level of maturity and self-confidence to interact with high level executives inside and outside the company
- Proven and very strong capabilities in self organization, ability to work independently and self-motivated in complex project environments
- Master degree or equivalent in computer science, technology management or related field Preferred skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience with using the Design Thinking methodology for user-centered software design
