At SAP you get your chance to put your ideas into action with maximum impact.As a Knowledge Architect on the SAP User Assistance Strategy and Services team, you will be working on SAP's next generation suite of user assistance technology, in particular focusing on the extensibility of SAP-delivered content for customers and partners. Your work will span across concepts, content and landscape architecture, technical realization and infrastructure setup, and a corresponding business model. You will be working closely with other architects, development and operations teams to realize the vision. You may also be involved with researching and developing new concepts that improve how technical information is best served to our customers. Within our team, we practice a trust-based working model. If you need to work flexibly from another location or at another time you can do so given your manager's agreement.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

- Responsible for driving overall extensibility concepts and aligning them with other architects and teams
- Define architecture and roadmap for content extensibility, based on understanding the needs of customers and partners
- Create and validate extensibility prototypes with stakeholders and customers, all the way through implementation and rollout to customers and partners for productive usage
- Ensure operational setup is in place to support the usage of implemented concepts, also taking into account cost
- Demonstrate full responsibility for accepted tasks and commit to a high level of quality, speed, reliability and efficiency
- Work closely together with other team members to ensure the team success. Enhance skills beyond own core functional focus and work on other tasks for the benefit of the team
- Has proficient overall domain knowledge and shares domain expertise within team

WORK EXPERIENCE

- Proven experience with creation and implementation of new concepts in software and/or knowledge management environments
- Strong experience with implementation and operations of a DITA-based CMS landscape
- Experience with cross-browser (IE, Chrome, Firefox, Safari) development in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JavaScript frameworks (eg. JQuery, SAP UI5, Angular JS)

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering
- Strong knowledge of the DITA standard and DITA-based content management processes and systems
- Ability to drive a concept from first idea to full-blown implementation and usage
- Ability to work well in a globally distributed team as well as independently
- Strong problem solving skills
- Interest in design and design thinking concepts Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of DITA specialization and ideally also extensibility concepts
- Information development concepts and methodologies
