We provide end-to-end delivery of servers, systems and high system availability software production and assembly landscapes. As part of our DevOps strategy we want to strengthen the collaboration of development and operations in order to streamline the development production process and to establish continuous delivery by automation. To support the engagements with various development groups, we are looking for Labs IT Technical (Senior) Consultant - SAP Basis, who will be responsible for the build projects in software production, assembly and component validation area.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As an IT Technical (Senior) Consultant - SAP BASIS you will be responsible for the following:
- Coordination and delivery of SAP system landscapes
- Planning, delivery and operation of all infrastructure components related to software production and assembly landscapes having high system availability requirements
- Maintaining all IT infrastructure layers that network, storage, server hardware, OS
- Lead projects in global teams
- Maintain good / trusted technical relationship with KUG (Key user groups)
- Ensure and optimizes technical service delivery to ensure SLA are met
- Ensure adherence to standards, processes and security policies
- Identify top issues, define according action plan and drive the resolution process
- Operation Planning and scheduling of dedicated tasks
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years industry experience in the area of servers and systems
- At least three years professional experience SAP Basis Administration as a Technical SAP NetWeaver Consultant (ABAP and Java basis administration)
- Professional experience of different database products and Linux (SUSE)
- Strong working knowledge in technical documentation and knowledge productization
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Master's degree or higher in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Information Management, Mathematics, Chemistry or Physics
- Profound knowledge for SAP Basis administration as a Technical SAP NetWeaver Consultant (ABAP and Java basis administration)
- Excellent professional expertise in Linux (SUSE/RH)
- Project management experience
- Knowledge in SAN / NAS / FS integration
- Ability to work effectively in international and virtual teams
- Capacity to continuously acquire new knowledge in an independent, proactive way
- Good analytical and solution oriented thinking
- Very good communication and networking skills
- Strong customer service focus
- Very good German and English language skills
