The team drives the design, implementation and productize of the required lifecycle management tool and automation content development throughout the solution lifecycle, such as initial system/solution provisioning, solution monitoring, software maintenance, incident management, change management but also advanced business continuity services in the area of high availability and disaster recovery. The team works in an agile mode closely with our end-users and stakeholders to provide the most efficient operations support and easy to use functionality. We are in close alignment with different product groups to bring SAPs product innovations to the cloud. We provide state of the art processes and use modern technologies like HANA and Fiori. It is targeted to establish a small agile development team that drives the E2E implementation of the Customer Portal embedded into SAPs One Support Portal and tightly integrated into the overall application lifecycle management stack and cloud reporting.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As a (senior) developer in the Operations Engineering & Automation development team, you will be dealing with the full development cycle, from discussing requirements with our (internal) customers, to design, architecture, implementation, bug fixing and troubleshooting. You will work closely with international colleagues together on development projects with the following activities:
- Design appealing and sustainable solutions for cloud operations using test-driven methodology.
- Optimize and simplify existing processes and code
- Perform agile prototyping to evaluate which solution fits best for given requirements.
- Develop UIs and APIs in a model-driven way. Expectations
- Good Team player, as we are working in a nice and friendly agile team with a "Can do" attitude
- Openness to work on a significant, existing code base, and ability to dig into it and get an understanding of how "other people's" code works
- Willingness to master the "full stack" from UI through BO models down to modelling on the database.
- Openness towards new technologies
- Willingness to discuss directly with end users and stakeholders, and ability to translate their expectations into simple, "easy to use" and "easy to maintain" architecture and functionality.
WORK EXPERIENCE
3+ years of directly-related work experience in in the development/ support area of which significant portion of recent work should be best related to the SAP Cloud On Demand business. LOCATION

Required Skills
- Proven expertise in Fiori UI development and ABAP programming, additional expertise in other programming languages (i.p. sql, PERL) are beneficial.
- Fluent in German as well as very good knowledge of the English language.
- Career path at SAP should outline the ability to fulfill the job profile criteria of a senior developer. Preferred Skills
- Proven expertise of the SAP lifecycle management tool suite as well as passion for technology is highly appreciated.
- Be already experienced in the cloud business best proven by already executed project work for and/or in one of the cloud delivery units (preferred SAP Managed Cloud Delivery) in particular in the development area
